Serbia on a toothpick, Serbia on you plate and Serbia on a bigger plate
We invite you to participate in customs related to eating. After our tour you will know when and how to drink rakija, how to order a song from a band in a kafana, how to write in Cyrillic, what to bring as a present to a Serbian slava, and how to dance on a Serbian wedding. You will see places known only by locals and hear interesting stories about Serbian lifestyle and food as well.
Street Food Tour Belgrade
Let us take you to the streets of Belgrade to experience typical places a Belgradian would visit to quickly quiet their hunger, thirst or satisfy a sweet tooth. In a typical Food&Culture Tour style we blend experience of everyday life, stories, customs and traditions. This time we are focusing more on Belgrade and its unique metropolitan spirit spiced up by Serbian culture as well as traces of the fact that once it was a capital of a much larger and more diverse country.

As the sole participant with Melica for this tour, she was extremely flexible and attentive to my interests. With excellent English, there never was a language issue. The food and beverage offerings were appropriate for a tour in Belgrade, and the actual walking was always comfortable and at a moderate pace. My favorites were the pizza slice (interesting topping) and “being like a student” and sitting talking in the park.

Good variety of food and hit spots I wouldn’t have on my own. Guide was informative and friendly had a nice time.
I had a great evening trying some delicious traditional Serbian foods. There are several tastings and two drinks.
I did the longer “Serbia on a bigger plate” tour. There was a LOT of food and it was all great. Got to see various areas of the city including the picturesque town of Zemun by the Danube. Marija was a fantastic guide. I would definitely recommend.
