Novi Sad Saturday Full day trip

About This Tour

An unforgettable Novi Sad day trip that combines Serbia’s rich cultural heritage with authentic local experiences. This comprehensive 5-8 hour journey takes you through centuries of Balkan history, from Ottoman treasures to Austro-Hungarian grandeur.

Your adventure begins at the vibrant Najlon Flea Market, where East meets West in a fascinating display of historical artifacts. Hunt for unique treasures spanning from Ottoman Empire relics to vintage Western European finds from the 70s-90s, all while sampling authentic Balkan street food that will tantalize your taste buds.

Explore the mighty Petrovaradin Fortress, often called the “Gibraltar of the Danube” – this architectural marvel took over a century to complete and stands as Europe’s most significant defense against Ottoman expansion. Perched majestically above the Danube River, the fortress now houses contemporary art galleries that beautifully blend Serbia’s past with its creative present.

Journey to Sremski Karlovci, Serbia’s enchanting wine capital and former refuge for Balkan Christians. This picturesque town tells the compelling story of Central Europe’s crossroads, where political upheavals shaped the region’s destiny. You’ll visit traditional wine cellars, historic churches, and enjoy panoramic viewpoints that have inspired visitors for centuries.

Your spiritual journey continues at Krusedol Monastery, one of the Balkans’ most sacred sites and the final resting place of Serbian royalty. Nestled within Fruška Gora National Park, this serene location offers deep insights into Orthodox Christianity and Serbia’s spiritual heritage.

Novi Sad

“Nikola was an amazing guide. He provided a lot of Serbian/Balkan/Austro-Hungatian history during the tour. We saw the main sites in Novi Sad, which were interesting, and managed to stop in a winery at my request. We were mindful that a large protest was scheduled to start that afternoon (01Feb). Novi Sad is lovely and I enjoyed the tour and learning about Serbia and Nikola.”

Fantastic day!

“Nikola was an exceptional guide, I was alone and he created an itinerary starting from my needs, he was helpful and kind. He is an easy-going but very cultured person, he knows a lot of information and he told me about his beautiful family as well as the history of Novi Sad and Serbia, including cultural and social aspects of Serbian life. He also offered me a fruit juice. I recommend it to everybody.”
